A Launchpad for the Next Generation of Construction

Real-World Experience in Construction and Skilled Trades

The Construct My Future Internship Program is a paid, credit-earning opportunity that places high school students with real employers in the construction industry. Through 3-4 week job rotations, students get hands-on experience, earn a paycheck, and explore careers in trades like HVAC, electrical, construction management, and more.

Students learn about and register for the program through their schools and CMFIP outreach. All partnering schools provide an internship teacher to work with the program and the interns for the school year. CMFIP partners with a staffing firm to provide day-to-day contact and payroll for the interns. Companies sponsor the CMFIP program and host interns. Together, we change lives, one construction job at a time. Together, we create a Pathway to Trades.

  • Gain valuable job experience before graduating
  • Learn from experienced professionals in the field
  • Earn certifications such as OSHA 10
  • Build workplace confidence, professionalism, and work ethic
  • Earn school credit while getting paid
  • Explore careers in construction management, HVAC, electrical work, and more

Intern Today. Build Your Construction
Career Tomorrow

A Career-Building Experience Designed for High School Students

CMFIP is a student internship program to encourage students towards jobs in the construction industry. It is unique by offering a centralized program for 17+ year old students and taking care of the details for companies to easily hire our interns.

Field trips and job shadowing on local job sites complement the classroom training, as the schedule allows. After the initial training period, student interns will be placed in construction internships at local construction sites.

  • Open to students age 17 and up
  • 4 week rotations with local industry employers
  • Paid internships with school credit
  • Receive OSHA 10 training and certifications
  • Mentorship from construction professionals and industry leaders

Construct My Future coordinates with schools and employers so students can focus on learning while professionals focus on guiding.

Goal for 2025–26: 60+ students across Oklahoma City and Moore, with plans to expand.
