Why Construct My Future Was Created

There’s more than one path to success. The trades are a great choice

Construct My Future was founded in 2022 when a group of passionate industry leaders launched a hands-on construction camp for middle schoolers. Since then, CMF has expanded to include a Truck Pull & Silent Auction, an Internship Program, and the Construction Rodeo, serving nearly 100 students annually. The board remains deeply involved, supporting all programs alongside the Executive Director.

Too many students and families overlook the trades due to a college-first mindset. But construction careers offer strong wages, paid training, and lifelong opportunities, with no student debt. According to a Georgetown University study, construction jobs pay an average of $55,000/year and are in growing demand.

Construct My Future was founded to address this gap, and to show students that hands-on careers are meaningful, financially stable, and full of purpose.

From Middle School to the Jobsite – We Guide the Journey

CMF - Camp

Our middle school camp introduces younger students to construction through teamwork, creativity, and tool-based projects. It’s all about discovery and early inspiration.

Internship Program

We connect students with paid internships in local construction firms. Interns gain real-world skills, mentorship, and a strong start toward a fulfilling construction career.

Construction Rodeo

This high school event brings students together to compete in hands-on construction challenges. It’s a fun, fast-paced way to explore skilled trades and meet potential employers.

Fundraising

Fundraisers like our annual Truck Pull and Silent Auction directly support scholarships, tools, and outreach efforts. Get involved and help us grow the next generation of constructors.
